For Destiny Educators: How to Resolve Teacher Account Syncing as a Student

If a teacher is mistakenly assigned “student” access level in the Destiny back end, they may appear as a student when synced over to Biblionasium. Here is how to resolve that conflict.

Step 1

Ensure that the patron type is set to “Faculty” and the access level is set to “Teacher.” (Note: if the patron type and access level are set up correctly and the account is still syncing over as a student, you may need to contact Follett Tech Support.)

Step 2

Set next sync to run immediately in Biblionasium and run another sync from your Destiny Back Office.

Step 3

Check that the account now appears under the “Educators” section of your group roster.

Step 4

You may delete the student account associated with the teacher’s login information.
