A book that will be enjoyed by both boys and girls. Adventure and Compassion run throughout the entire story. The fantasy element will also appeal to fans of that genre. It was fun to see Abeni grow as the book went on and I look forward to the sequel.

Once the warriors came into the village, the book really took off. I enjoyed the character development, especially with Abeni and with Asha, the old woman who becomes young again. I did enjoy this novel.
