Reviews

It is a good mystery book and if you like escape rooms then you should read this too. This book will make you feel very excited and it will make you feel like a detective. My favorite character was Kyle because he is the main character, he is very smart, kind, and helpful.

This book was great for people who like puzzles, mystery, humor and a bit of action. If this is your favorite genre then this book is a must have. My favorite character is Kyle because we share some of the same traits. We both like video games and every once in a while I’ll do a puzzle. This book made me feel some suspense because some of the puzzles look like they might not make it. This book also made me feel happy after seeing them successfully meet their goal. You would enjoy reading this book the most if you’re someone who likes mystery, humor, and puzzles. If you’re in love with all three, this is the book for you.

This book made me feel excited. I just couldn’t put it down! My favorite part was when they found the exit. I think people who love solving puzzles and who love thrills would also love this book. The character I loved the best was Kyle. I think other kids would read this for entertainment.

Escape From Mr. Lemoncello’s Library: The Graphic Novel written by Chris Grabenstein and illustrated by Douglas Holgate is an amazing book, in my opinion. I’ve already read the original book and enjoyed it very much. I was so happy to discover there was a graphic novel version. Escape From Mr. Lemoncello’s Library: The Graphic Novel is about a boy named Kyle Keely, who was selected to attend a sleepover at the new library that has just been built. But it turns out that Kyle and the other 11 selected individuals are now locked in the library. The book follows Kyle and the others as they try to escape from the library, and I love all the clues and twists and turns hidden throughout the book. In addition to the thrilling mystery, there were some themes about treating others with respect, equality, and belonging. I also really liked the style of the art (as it is a graphic novel) and personally thought that it was really fitting for the story. My favorite part of the story was definitely when Kyle chooses to take the challenge presented to him by Mr. Lemoncello at risk of being eliminated from the game. I won’t say anything other than that I was literally jumping up and down! My favorite character was probably Sierra or Akimi. I like how Sierra always has her nose in a book, and how Akimi is super confident and optimistic. I think you would enjoy reading this book if you are a fan of graphic novels, mysteries, or if you’ve read the Book Scavengers series, which is a bit similar, and also really good.
