This book made me feel happy. I could relate to the story because it felt like something that could really happen in my life. Penny is my favorite character because she pushes through tough times. I think other kids should read this book to see that it is okay to be nervous. I think people that love adventure would love this book.

I liked Penny the best in this story because I can relate to her. This book made me feel anxious and excited at the same time because there was a play coming up so I was anxious that it wouldn’t go right. I was also excited for Penny to go on stage. This was a very good book and it was a book of fun and you can relate to it because it’s about a normal family and their daughter.

Penny, a fifth grade girl, doesn’t want to be an actress, or move to a new house. When she did move, nothing really changed at the new house but when her friend Petra wrote a school play everything changed A LOT. She was going to be a fluttering bat, but now she’s the narrator! I recommend this book to anyone who loves a funny book!

The ending was my favorite part of the book because Penny’s family had twins! Penny was my favorite character because she was the main character. My favorite part of the story was when the play didn’t get destroyed like Penny hoped it would. I liked the illustrations in this book because they were cartoony and they really helped me understand the story more. I think people who like mysteries and surprises would enjoy this book because there was a mysterious noise coming from Penny’s room. While looking for the noise, they even uncovered a treasure chest! I think this book reminds me of Diary of a Wimpy Kid books because of the illustrations. This book made me feel curious because I wanted to know what the noise was in Penny’s room and also what was inside the treasure chest. I guess we will have to wait for book 3 to find out!
