It is a captivating story that is compelling to read, mainly because of my favorite character, Silas. He made me enjoy this book because of his love for his father to the point where he would go as far as to search for him. My favorite part of the book was when he was scared to go into the forest, yet he showed bravery to find his dad. I also very much loved the beautiful ending. I think kids who enjoy adventure stories would treasure this one.

Pony is a great book by one of my favorite authors, R.J. Palacio. This book takes place in America during the late 19th century. This book has a very western, adventurous feel to it. My favorite character is Silas Bird. I love how determined he is to find and rescue his father. All in all, you should definitely give this book a try because it is likely you will enjoy it.

The lesson of this book Is that you should never ever give up on something you love. Silas connects with people he just met and life long friends and so can you.
