You should read this book if you’re in the mood for: Action, Humor, Fantasy

What did you like about this book?
It contains accurate depictions of both Greek and Roman mythology. It also mixed in contemporary ideas and characters to make it relatable to modern-day. It also portrays how these abnormal teens cope with normal teen problems.

Who were the main character(s)? Which one(s) were your favorite? Why?
The main characters were Leo (the comedian), Jason (the new kid/Mr. Perfect), and Piper (tried to stay out of the spotlight but is often forced into it). My favorite character is Leo because he is the one whom I relate to most.

Other kids should read this book because…
Everybody can relate to at least one of the characters and will be entertained by the constant action and character developments, as well as the development of romance in the story. They will be hooked and want to read the rest of the series.

This book reminds me of all the other books in this series, as well as the other mythological books written by Rick Riordan.

Your thoughts on the book:
This is a great book that any middle schooler would love reading and is a great starter book for the rest of this series.

I recommend this book for kids in these grades:
5th, 6th, 7th, 8th
